Major Developements and Serious threat to peace in Ireland by admin

A new book by a former UVF paramilitary man alleges that a unit of the British army - known as the Military Recognisance Force - trained members of the loyalist group.

The Book named "Killing for Britain" which is published under the pseudonym "John Black" makes claims that have be well known within the Irish nationalist and republican communities for many years. It highlights how the British Army unit planned a series of attacks, including the Miami Show band Massacre in 1975.

These are very serious public statements and revelations from someone on the inside. If these are, true and we have reason not to believe it, if the book is being published. The British Army trained, funded and organized attacks against citizens who were of Irish background. Their attacks were not just false flag attacks to make it look like they were being attacked to justify there continued occupation of the North of Ireland but these were actual attacks government sponsored terrorism where no one would ever be brought to justice. Decades after the British Army murder 13 young people in Derry, known as bloody Sunday and one of the biggest inquiries in British history. Still no one has been brought to justice from the British Army. Numerous cases of false imprisonment and torture, the case of the Conlon’s comes to mind.

Attacks from the British military through a proxy front of loyalist paramilitaries, which were trained by them. A shock force so that as these attacks were taking place the British army and government could say to the world it was terrorists and nothing to do with them. In recent years, we have had the Stevens Report that highlighted widespread collusion between all branches of the security services. The revelations of Freddie Scappattici a high level some say the highest known British agent within the PIRA exposed. Then there was in recent years Dennis Donaldson who is in a famous photo with his arm around a well-known hunger striker Bobby Sands. Another high-level informer at the core of PSF.

The people of Ireland especially the Irish Republican community who are intended on pursuing an armed campaign need to seriously re-evaluate the situation. Much of the violence was manufactured by criminal elements of the British security services. That is Army as well as SIS. They have penetrated all the organizations and they are masters at manipulation. Failure to cease any military operations and get involved with non-violent alternatives of removing the occupation will only lead to more manipulation. It hinders attempts by those non-violent republicans especially the younger people to articulate things. The senseless attacks that have failed repeatedly do not help any body. They just give the British and Unionists an excuse.

The wider public needs to be very cautious and evaluate everything, question everything because MI5 have constructed a huge fortress just on the edge of Belfast they are currently embedding police with intelligence agents and vise versa embedding intelligence agents with the PSNI. This merging of intelligence agency and local police is a serious and worrying development. Just last week there was a pathetic failed attack against this hybrid police force. This attack had serious signs of a false flag incident.

Then we looked at who would have benefited from that attack succeeding, when we take a step back and look at the wider picture we see that the institutions are ready to collapse due to the failure of the Unionist and British to live up to their agreement. They leave Irish politicians no choice but to withdraw from the power sharing government. As nothing is being done. No executive meeting in 3 months. They had republicans jump through multiple hoops for 10 years and have not implemented anything.

The story in Monday’s Guardian headed ‘MI5 targets dissidents as Irish terror threat grows’ was based on information supplied by MI5. Even so, it might be true. Let’s see.

The story told that: ‘Up to 60% of all the security service’s electronic intercepts — phone-taps and other covert technical operations — have come from (republican) dissidents ... Fears (are) escalating over the intent of republicans opposed to power-sharing in the province ... 80 hardcore dissidents may be plotting terrorist attacks.’

The kernel of hard news was that MI5 has now ‘completely taken over surveillance operations from police in Northern Ireland’. This significant change was thus announced not in a statement to Parliament nor in a NIO press release but in a leak from MI5.

Old newspaper hands will recall that once upon a time it was the old rascal Chapman Pincher of the Daily Express to whom the spooks would leak their latest yarn. How times change! Or not.

The timing and source of the story suggest that it had more to do with political manoeuvre than with operational change.

The figures cited strengthen the suspicion. More than half of MI5’s intercepts come from 80 ‘hardcore’ members of the Real IRA/Continuity IRA? Fewer than half from Islamic militants, agents of foreign governments and all other perceived threats to British State security combined?

In November last year, in his first public speech as director general of MI5, Jonathan Evans outlined the threat he believed would have to be countered in the future. “MI5 has now identified around 2,000 individuals who we believe pose a direct threat to national security ... This increase ... is due both to improved coverage of extremist communities and to the continued flow of new recruits to the extremist cause." He was referring specifically to Islamic groups, and made no mention of Irish republicans.
